Dr. Cheryl A. Caputo

Dr. Cheryl Caputo graduated from the Ohio State University in 1978 and did further study there in Outpatient Care and Internal Medicine. She and her husband moved to Daleville, Virginia where they built and operated a veterinary clinic for 26 years. Although the practice began as a convential veterinary practice, Dr. Caputo developed the alternative side, and their practice became the first to offer alternative veterinary medicine in the Roanoke Valley area.

After moving to Florida in 2008, Dr. Caputo  - set up a house-call practice in the Clearwater area offering alternative therapy for pets in the comfort of their homes. She works closely with Animal Hospital of Dunedin (they offer conventional and alternative therapies) as well as Day and Evening Pet Hospital, so her patients have access to all the services they need—including x-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic testing, dental care, surgery, or hospitalization if needed.

She is an active member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and the AHVMA (American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association). She regularly participates in continuing education in both conventional medicine and alternative veterinary medicine. She is certified in Acupuncture from the Chi Institute and is certified in Ozone Therapy as well. She has had training in nutrition, nutritional supplements, homeopathy, and kinesiology.

Dr. Caputo has three grown sons. She shares her home with two cats that needed homes. In her spare time, she enjoys working out at the gym, ballroom dancing, tai chi, and bicycling. She is active in her church and she volunteers to help run a non-profit organization called Criminon (means no crime) that helps rehabilitate inmates.
